Conceiving the Implant

To conceive a dental implant, we insert an artificial titanium root in the jawbone on which we place an artificial tooth. The number of dental implants, their position, their proximity to the anatomical structures of the jaws, the patient’s medical condition and requirements are all important factors to take into consideration when developing the treatment plan.

When more than one tooth or all teeth are missing, several implants are made. This allows them to support crowns, bridges as well as partial or complete prostheses, which are screwed or “clipped”, or a combination of both.

Steps for Inserting a Dental Implant

1. Is this a good solution for your case?

We start by performing a complete dental exam and taking x-rays of your head, jaw and teeth. Once the diagnosis is established, the personalized intervention will take place over several sessions.

2. Realization

Your dentist will proceed to insert an implant into the jawbone and then sutures the gum tissue. The implant will integrate with the bone during the healing phase, which can take up to several months.

3. Implantation

When the tissue has healed, the dentist will attach an abutment to the implant, which connects the replacement tooth to the implant. This step and the previous one can sometimes be done in one sitting.

4. Final Installation

Finally, the dentist attaches the replacement tooth to the abutment. To achieve a perfect fit, several appointments may be necessary. Our team will make sure you are comfortable throughout the process.

5. Replacement

In some cases where several teeth or all of the teeth need to be replaced, a fixed bridge, a partial or a full denture is installed and held in place on the dental implants.
