Dental Veneers

Dental veneers are aesthetic shells that are used to treat cavities, repair broken teeth, or to improve the look of healthy teeth.

Ceramic Dental Veneers

At Sourire Concept, in addition to using dental veneers to treat cavities and repair broken teeth, our dentists use them to embellish your smile by changing the color, shape, angle or even the spacing of your teeth. These are small, very thin shells made of ceramic or composite resin, that are securely attached to the front part of the teeth.

Ceramic dental veneers constitute an ideal choice because of their resistance, unlimited lifespan. They are also known to never change color and offer an impeccable aesthetic for years to come.

Steps to Designing Ceramic Dental Veneers

1. Initial Consultation

The dentist will meet with you and make a diagnosis. Once this step has been completed, the procedure will generally take place over two sessions.

2. Trimming

The dentist cuts your teeth to remove a thin layer. This step is crucial because it requires a great deal of know-how on behalf of the dentist.

3. Impressions

We take impressions of your teeth or scan them with a laser camera. They are then sent to the laboratory to proceed with the fabrication of the veneers.

4. Installation

During your next appointment, the dentist removes the temporary veneers and installs the permanent veneers individually, using a composite resin cement.

Resin Dental Veneers

Composite resin dental veneers constitute a more affordable solution, but are also more fragile. Because they tend to discolor over time and wear out more easily, the aesthetics of this type of veneer deteriorate more quickly. They are, however, an excellent temporary solution for certain patients.

Steps to Designing Resin Dental Veneers

1. Initial Consultation

The dentist will perform an initial assessment, followed by a diagnosis where you will be offered a second appointment to proceed with the treatment.

2. Trimming

The dentist proceeds to trim the teeth to remove a thin layer. This step is crucial since it requires a great deal of know-how on behalf of the dentist.

3. High Protection

We will apply a treatment to roughen the surface and facilitate the adhesion of the composite resin, chosen according to the color of your teeth.

4. Careful Application

We will apply the composite resin layer by layer, taking care to light-cure the various layers between applications.

5. Optimal Results

When the dentist reaches the desired thickness and the resin is hardened, they mold and polish your tooth to give it a soft, natural appearance.
